The Partnership Pledge

A Future Draft for an organisation that couldn’t otherwise afford one.

Apply for the Pledge Fund

Ten per cent of every Partnership with Humanum Huis goes into a pledge fund. When the fund covers a full Future Draft, we give one to an organisation chosen by open application, and publish it here with their written approval.

The organisations that most need to think clearly about their future are often the ones least able to pay for help doing so. The Pledge is how the work we’re paid for carries some of the work we aren’t.

How the fund works

  • Ten per cent of every Partnership payment goes into the fund. On a Partnership of €15,000 a year, that is €1,500.

  • When the fund covers Leadership Future Drafts (€4,500), or Organisation Future Drafts (€8,500).

  • Organisations receives the same Future Draft a paying client would: research into its situation and where its field is heading, every claim labelled, a draft we have tried to break before they see it, revision rounds, and an AI philosophy.

  • The fund opens with the first Partnership. Until then, applications are welcome and will be considered as soon as the fund covers a draft.

Who can apply

Any organisation that couldn’t pay for a Future Draft itself and is facing a consequential decision about its future: a nonprofit, a foundation, a school, a cooperative, a small business.

We don’t ask for proof of income. Tell us in a few lines why the cost is out of reach.

If you need help sooner, or for yourself as one person, ask about an Open Place instead. Two are offered each month for people and organisations who can’t pay full price.

How to apply, and how we choose

  1. Apply with a short form. Who you are, the decision you are facing, who will live with the result, and why a Future Draft is out of reach. Ten minutes is enough.

  2. Or be nominated. Organisations in a Partnership with Humanum Huis can nominate another organisation. A nominated organisation is considered alongside others.

  3. We decide with an outside advisor. Parker Woodroof, PhD, decides with another from Humanum Huis and one outside advisor, so the choice doesn’t rest on one view alone.

  4. Everyone hears back. Each time the fund covers a Future Draft, we tell every applicant the outcome, chosen or not. The form confirms by email that your application arrived.

What we publish
The finished Future Draft is published here on humanumhuis.com, then shared on LinkedIn, so other organisations can see what the work looks like and learn from it.

  • Only the version you approve. The organisation approves the published version in writing before anything appears, and can choose to have it anonymised, so neither the organisation nor its people are named.

  • Nothing private without permission. People heard in confidence are never named, and no group is described separately unless at least five people from it took part.

  • Your draft stays yours. The full working draft, and every revision round, belongs to the organisation. What we publish is the version you choose to share.

If your organisation is facing a decision it can’t afford to get wrong, and can’t afford help with it, we’d like to hear from you.
