HUMANUM HUIS COMMITMENTS
we hold ourselves to four commitments:
Accountability
We say what we set out to do and we are honest about whether we did it. There is one thing we will never publish, and it is the first commitment rather than an exception to it: what someone said to us in confidence. The honesty that makes this work possible comes from a promise about where words go, and a promise kept only when it is convenient is not a promise. Where a client chooses to be named, we will say so, and let them describe the work themselves.
Transparency
We show our reasoning, not just our conclusions. When a framework is incomplete, we say so. When the evidence is uncertain, we say so. When we were wrong, we say so first. The work is confidential. The method is not. You can see how it is done, what it costs, and what we would do differently, in enough detail to judge it before you spend anything.
Imagination
We refuse to accept that what is currently possible is all that is possible. The imagination gap in most institutions is also a diversity gap, which is why the room needs artists, philosophers, parents, and poets alongside the strategists and the technologists. We ask what becomes possible now before we ask how to automate what already exists.
Access
The organisations that most need to think clearly about their future are often the ones least able to pay for help doing so. Ten per cent of every Partnership goes into the Partnership Pledge fund. Each time the fund covers a full Future Draft, we give one to an organisation chosen by open application. We also offer two Open Places each month for people and organisations who can’t pay full price. Read about the Partnership Pledge
Recording and your data
In short

Conversations are recorded with your consent, so the work is built from what you actually said.

One recording, on one locked device. Nothing is recorded by Zoom or any meeting provider.

Why I record
Sessions are recorded, with your consent, so that the Draft is built from what you actually said rather than from what I remembered.
How it is recorded
I record on my own iPhone, using Voice Memos. That is the only way these conversations are recorded: one channel, deliberately, so there is one thing to protect. It stays on a passcode-locked, encrypted phone, with cloud sync off. It is never uploaded to a meeting provider: on Zoom, Zoom carries the call and records nothing.
How the transcript is used
I transcribe on my own machine, then work through the transcript with an AI assistant (Anthropic's Claude, under a data-processing agreement) to surface what one pass would miss. Every judgement is mine. The AI helps me see; it does not decide, and your words are never used to train AI models.
Who hears it
No one else hears the recording unless we have told you beforehand that an associate is working with us.
How long it is kept

After an Opening Conversation where you commission nothing: deleted within 30 days.

After a Future Draft: deleted within 30 days of the Draft being delivered.

If the work continues: within six months, then deleted regardless.
What is never shared
Nothing is quoted, published or shared, including anonymised, without your written permission.
